Mohammed Kudus returns: Huge boost for Ghana after recovering from injury

Ghana has been handed a massive boost after star midfielder Mohammed Kudus returned to action for Ajax after a three months injury layoff.

Kudus, 21, lasted 46 minutes for the side’s reserves in their 2-0 win over Jong PSV in the Eerste Divisie on Monday night.

The midfielder was cautiously deployed as he steps up his recovery process.

The talented Ghana international missed the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon due to the setback.

He suffered the setback while on international duty with Ghana during a 2022 World Cup qualifying match against South Africa back in November 2021.

His return to action is a massive boost boost for Ghana ahead of the crunch World Cup playoffs against eternal rivals Nigeria next month.

He will be crucial for incoming Ghana coach Chris Hughton – who is tipped to be named Milovan Rajevac successor.
