CAF Women’s Champions League: We can achieve the victory against ASFAR- Hasaacas Ladies coach

Hasaacas Ladies coach Yusif Basigi is confident of a win against ASFAR of Morocco in the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League later today.

Hasaacas Ladies made it to the semi-finals after topping Group A with seven points after two wins and a draw in the group stage.

The Moroccan side progressed to the last four following a goalless draw game against Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa in their final group game.

They finished in second place in Group B with four points ahead of Nigerian side River Angels to book a place in the last four.

Speaking ahead of the game on Monday, Yusif Basigi is optimistic his side are better than ASFAR and can grind for a win.

“ASFAR is a very good team, they play very well but we play better. We respect them as an opponent, but we can achieve the victory,”

Evelyn Badu of Hasaacas Ladies who has emerged as one of the key players in the tournament is confident of victory in the semifinal clash.

“I hope Hasaacas Ladies lift the trophy because as a team, whenever there is a trophy at stake, we don’t leave it behind. We want to make history in this particular tournament,”

The 19-year-old was voted the best player of the tournament after the group stage and currently leads the goal chart with four goals.

The other semi-final sees Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa take on Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea.

The semifinals tie will be held at the 30 June Stadium on Monday, November 15, 2021.
