Accra Lions striker Evans Etti moves to China to join Heilongjiang Ice City FC

Accra Lions striker Evans Etti has been captured by Chinese second-tier club Heilongjiang Ice City FC after excelling in the Ghana Division One League last season.

Etti was instrumental in Accra Lions historic promotion to the Ghana Premier League as they emerged champions of Zone III ahead of Tema Youth.

The 20-year-old registered an impressive 20 goal contributions, scoring 10 and setting up his teammates 10 times.

Etti has joined Heilongjiang after impressing on the local scene which resulted in a senior national team call-up.

Accra Lions Manager Ishmael Hamidu said: “Etti’s move to China is yet another proof that Accra Lions became a globally recognized brand. Nine players left us for Europe and four players to Asia in recent years.

We can proudly say that every player who performs well for Accra Lions gains worldwide recognition. We wish him all the best and every success in his future career.”

Etti hopes to hit the ground running at his new home and attract top-flight clubs in Asia and Europe.
